These borders can be geographical, generic, temporal, political, theological, or cultural and crossing them can lead to transgression or definition. The exchange and transfer between old and new forms, thoughts, ideologies and imaginations intensify as borders shift and converge.

The nine articles collected in this book follow a theoretical model that examines the modes by which the discourse of modernity informs the imagination of the border and employ a methodology that frames the relation between literature and cultural practice.? As a whole the book examines the emerging paradigms surrounding the movements across borders.

Windows 10 升級至數據用量爆增，反盜獵組織慘招23萬元損失！

微軟連月來以不同手法去「幫」用戶自動升級至 Windows 10，隨之而引起的爭論越來越多。Windows 10 升級原先是好事，但卻因種種自動安裝、誘騙等手法為用戶帶來不少麻煩。繼早前有電視台直播、遊戲直播等被中斷後，近日再有組織因電腦被自動升級而向互聯網發出求救…

一個以中非為主要活動地區的反盜獵保護動物組織「The Chinko Project」，其中一名成員近日在 Reddit 上向網友訴苦，表示組織裡其中一部電腦暗地裡自動下載了 Windows 10 的更新檔案，容量達到 6GB。對很多使用無限上網或家中支附月費就能上網的人來講，聽起來好似很平常吧？當你了解背後的環境相信不是這麼認為了。

因為該組織所處的地方屬荒野，根本不會有互聯網線路及發射站覆蓋到，他們連上互連網靠的是衛星訊號，因此使用量會是以每 MB 為單位計算衛星網路服務費用。因此，依照當地的衛星上網方案計算，此 6GB 就需要少至 3 萬美元(或 23.5 萬港幣)。

求助者承認自己是前IT支援成員，這次是自己沒有設定好自動更新所招致。但他仍然對微軟為 Windows 10 所帶來的自動升級手法不甚受落，認為微軟需要檢討一下這樣的安排。的確，現時 Windows 10 升級程式已經是進化到「自動化」的地步，甚至是以誘騙的方式去逼令用戶升級，如果不使用強制性的手段，透過 Windows 內置的升級安排根本就不能避免「被升級」。

「The Chinko Project」稍早前於眾籌網站發起募捐，其目標為5萬美元，目的是用來維修飛機。如今似乎這5萬美元要先支付衛星訊號服務公司了。
